The main objectives and scope of this study include establishing a strategy and master plan to develop the trade of energy among Arab countries, and determine the trade-offs between export of electricity and/or natural gas. The objective was to address the adequacy of the planned generation system and interconnected network to deliver the economic amount of electricity and gas trade necessary to fulfill the objectives of the pan-Arab electricity trading market.
